Permanent role VS Freelancing

Do what works best for you

a “Permanent role” is where you work as a paid employee for a company and receive a salary/ payslip each month. For most people this is the preferred option as it provides stability, security and support.

Almost all permanent roles in data analysis offer at least some degree of flexible work, where you can work from home at least 1 or 2 days per week. Many new data analysts prefer this at the start as it allows them to train under more experienced analysts which is often the quickest way to pick up the more advanced skills. Once settled in a role, it is usually easy to switch to fully remote work after the probationary period ends.

If working in an office does not suit your personal circumstances, the other option is to work as a freelance data analyst. There are many websites available that allow you to bid on projects and earn through this route. It provides less security than a permanent role but much more flexibility and opportunity to earn higher amounts.

Whichever route you decide (some people do both), I will provide you with full guidance on how to achieve your goals. I have the skills, experience and ability to teach you.
